The Eastern Region 4-H'ers ( from Carter, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi and Washington Counties) bake biscuits to share with fair attendees. Take a look at when your county will be participating in this project and get involved!

4-H'ers had thousands of exhibits plus many educational booths in the 2009 Appalachian Fair! This photo shows the top blue ribbon winners.

 


4-H Day, August 24

Fashion Show, August 24, 7:00 p.m., 4-H Building

Each county may have up to ten participants. Participants will model either constructed or purchased garments. The show will not be judged. This is a fun show with no prizes offered. Come and join in the fun!

 


 

Outdoor Meat Cookery, August 28

 

Registration 11:00-11:30 a.m., Contest 11:30 a.m.

 


 

UT Extension Centennial Celebration and 4-H Reunion, August 28

 

The program will be at 6:00 p.m. on the Museum stage and will include a welcome by Dr. Tim Cross and Mr. Steve Sutton.  It will feature a performance by the Tennessee 4-H Performing Arts Troupe.  4-H Alumni and UT Extension supporters are encouraged to come early and enjoy the fair and reunite with old friends.
